Help move equipment and miners from one area to another in our international crossfire event. Join the Anchorage ARTCC and Edmonton FIR for the Whitehorse (CYXY) <-> Fairbanks (PAFA) crossfire event, Saturday, February 20, 2016. The event will begin at 2300 Zulu and will run 5 hours in length. Both Whitehorse and Fairbanks can trace their roots to the gold rush of the 1800s and still remain as centers for gold exploration. Whitehorse and Fairbanks will be staffed up, so plan a round trip and enjoy the rugged wilderness of the Yukon.

CONTROLLERS - Event Scheduling
Congratulations to Chase Jones for completing the requirements for his S1! Great job and see you on the scopes!
The Anchorage ARTCC would like to present our annual Bring Santa Home event. After some much needed time off he’s ready to head back home to North Pole, which just happens to be outside Fairbanks. Whether he spent his post delivery break on Waikiki Beach or the Gaslight in Anchorage, he needs to get home because the reindeer are starting to get restless.
Come join us in Fairbanks (PAFA) on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 2300 until 0400 Zulu (1400 AKST, 1800 EST). We will be fully staffed for his return, so come punish the Anchorage ARTCC crew, while you nurse your New Year’s hangover.
PAFA Arrivals: Please file the HRDNG1 or LIBER1 STAR routes, if able.
The Anchorage ARTCC is in the process of updating our Facebook page. Its been awhile since it was really active, so the task will be an ongoing process. The main purpose will be to help spread the word about our planned events but also help us convey general news and information. It should also allow us to receive feedback more readily, which will result in a better experience for all. Check it out and give us a like…

All of the controllers that worked my flights during FNO were great, but Jim did a fantastic job. He was courteous, professional and accurate. I really appreciate good service, and Jim excelled. Thanks!
